Cable car, funicular and mountain railway closures in Switzerland [2024/2025]

At the completion of the summer (high) season in Switzerland, many mountain railways and funiculars cease operation until April or May. Some cableways also close for maintenance prior to the busy winter season commencing and again before the start of the summer season.

In the article below, you will find details of closure dates for many of the most popular cableways, mountain railways and funiculars in Switzerland.
