Mount Jungfrau is one of Switzerland’s most well-known mountains and, together with the Eiger and Mönch, it forms an impressive triple-peak. It's also home to Europe’s highest railway station at 3,454 metres.
The traditional method is to take the Jungfraujoch train from Interlaken and then the Jungfrau train. The newer, option is to take the Eiger Express cableway from Grindelwald to Eiger Glacier and then connect to the Jungfrau train.
The standard Jungfraujoch ticket price from Interlaken is CHF 235.80 return per adult during peak season. It includes a return trip on the Interlaken to Jungfrau train.
The Good Morning Ticket offers a discount for those who are able to set off on their excursion early. Expect to save around CHF 60 per adult.
You are entitled to a discount on your Jungfraujoch excursion with Swiss Travel Pass, Jungfrau Travel Pass, Regional Pass Berner Oberland and with Eurail Pass/Interrail Pass.
I buy my Jungfraujoch tickets in advance from authorised ticket sellers, however, you can purchase tickets at any railway station in the Jungfrau region. Tickets are refundable up to 24 hours prior to travel.
One of the highlights is the incredible Aletsch Glacier and the Sphinx Observatory. There are also plenty of fun snow activities and shops and restaurants to visit. (Some activities are seasonal.)
