Based in New York, he leads trade partnerships across the U.S. and Canada, working closely with tour operators, travel advisors, airlines, and industry partners to promote Switzerland as a year-round destination.
A graduate of EHL Hospitality Business School in Lausanne, Oliver has built an international career in tourism and is passionate about creating meaningful connections that inspire more travelers to discover Switzerland.

>> Alpine cow descents – known as Alpabzug in German and Desalpes in French, the return of the cattle from the high alpine pastures is celebrated by the entire village. The cattle descents generally take place between mid-September and mid-October, depending on local weather conditions.
>> Wine harvest festivals -the annual wine harvest is celebrated with festivals in various wine growing regions around the country during autumn.
>> Seasonal cuisine – Autumn in Switzerland is the time to enjoy game (typically deer, wild boar or chamois), mushrooms, truffles, chestnuts and pumpkins. Many restaurants will offer a seasonal menu in addition to their regular a la carte menu. Autumn is also when many Swiss enjoy their first Fondue of the season.
>> Autumn foliage – Switzerland’s forests and wooded areas are awash with red, orange and yellow during autumn. Switzerland Tourism has a foliage map which shows where you can see the vibrant colours at any given time.
