>> Lauterbrunnen – is a picture-perfect valley village, surrounded by towering cliffs, alpine meadows, and famous waterfalls. It is the gateway to car-free mountain villages like Mürren and Wengen. Regular train services to Wengen allow passengers to connect seemlessly to Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfraujoch.

>> Wengen – is a charming, car-free village perched on a sunny terrace above Lauterbrunnen. With stunning views of the Jungfrau massif, it’s a peaceful base for both winter sports and summer hiking. Wengen is a popular stop on the journey to and from Jungfraujoch thanks to its spectacular scenery.

How to get to and from Jungfraujoch

Option 1 by train via Lauterbrunnen and Wengen

Route: Interlaken -> Lauterbrunnen -> Wengen -> Kleine Scheidegg -> Jungfraujoch
Travel time: 2 hours 7 minutes

Option 2 by train via Grindelwald

Route: Interlaken -> Grindelwald (main station) -> Kleine Scheidegg -> Jungfraujoch
Travel time: 2 hours 7 minutes

Option 3 by train/cable car/train

Route: Interlaken -> Grindelwald Terminal -> Eiger Glacier -> Jungfraujoch
Travel time: 1 hour 37 minutes (travel between Grindelwald Terminal and Eiger Glacier is by cable car)
